Worship this past Sunday, 29 November -- our first "homecoming" -- was rich, as was the potluck afterwards. We had 45 adults and 8 children who came, but numbers is not what this was all about. The true reward was the sense of community that we felt. Don't wait for the next homecoming, we'll see you again soon....

Friends are asked to join this year in meeting the basic needs of individuals and families in our community by participating in W.A.R.M.'s Holiday Gift Card Drive. This year donations of gift cards from local merchants are sought to meet the needs of clients at the holidays and long after the holiday season has passed. Examples may include, but are not limited to....Wal-Mart, TJ Maxx, J.C. Penny's, Stop & Shop/Shaws/McQuades, CVS/Rite Aid/Walgreens, Ginger's or other area gas stations, Dunkin Donuts/Honey Dew/Tim Horton's, Subway, etc. Friend's Outreach Committee will be coordinating these efforts for the Meeting. Mark your calendar! Join W.A.R.M. at The Andrea Hotel, Misquamicut Beach for their 4th Annual Penguin Plunge. Their most exciting fundraiser of the year; brave-hearted souls dive into the cold Atlantic to raise monies that will allow W.A.R.M. to continue to serve hungry and homeless community members with a warm bed, warm meal and warm welcome. The clouds parted and the rain paused just long enough to fit in a whole day of Friends Farm Fair Fun(d)raising on October 17. Westerly Friends Meeting sends warm appreciation for the community outpouring that resulted in $2400 to bring us current in our annual contributions to the VPT mortgage.
